As a benefit of membership, IMATA is coordinating a mentorship program which aims to provide participants with support, feedback, and coaching for their career.
Whether you are looking to start your profession, progress your career, or advance into a leadership role, seeking to network with others in the animal care community may provide you with tools to help attain your goals.
Since "mentorship" can be defined in many ways and garner various expectations, participants in IMATA's Mentorship Program will be electronically introduced to a mentor with whom expectations can be defined organically between individuals.
If you are matched with a mentor you feel is not sufficient, the program will attempt to find an alternative.

If you are an experienced IMATA member who is looking to "give back," please consider being a mentor to an individual who is looking to further their zoological career.
Since "mentorship" can be defined in many ways and garner various expectations, participants in IMATA's Mentorship Program will be electronically introduced to a mentee with whom expectations can be defined organically between individuals. If there is a match you feel is not productive, the program will attempt to find an alternative mentee.
Note: All mentors must hold IMATA membership at the Professional level.
